Homeopathy Veterinary Homeopathy, Combination Homeopathy

Veterinary Homeopathy. Veterinary Homeopathy is a medical discipline in which conditions in non-human animals are treated by administration of substances that are capable of producing clinical signs in healthy animals similar to those of the animal to be treated. These substances are used therapeutically in minute doses (A.V.M.A.). It is Dr. Johnson's opinion that homeopathy is often indicated as supplemental therapy in conditions that are at "functional" stage such as allergic and autoimmune conditions. Conditions that have reached the "structural" stage, such as solid tumors and fractures are not usually helped with Homeopathy (S.F.A.V.M.).

Combination Homeopathy. Combination homeopathics differ from single remedies in their approach to a condition. The theory is that several low-dilution remedies are mixed together with the purpose of addressing a specific symptom, supporting an organ or tissue or helping set the stage for regeneration and healing. Good examples would be combinations that are used in arthritic animals.

Some individual ingredients may address inflammation, and others pain, while still others may support the body in the elimination of excess minerals and toxins. The overall result is that the remedy works with the body's metabolic processes to reduce the symptoms at their origin and to promote healing
Dr. Johnson uses a combination homeopathy approach. This has blended well with his strong belief in an integrated holistic medicine philosophy. Combination homeopathic remedies are usually part of the prescription devised after a bionutritional analysis. The "classical" homeopathic approach uses a "single" remedy to achieve the same symptoms as the disease. Other useful medications and remedies that could alter these symptoms give "classical" homeopath a false read and will interfere with the treatment.
